Collaborating on SBN's New Recycled Office Fit-out

We're excited to have moved our National operations to our new offices located on Level 3, Old Sofrana House, 18 Customs Street East, Auckland 1010. It's great to be in the heart of the CBD!  We're kitting out our space according to a sustainable fit-out plan and have a team of designers and creative thinkers helping turn unwanted resources into a funky office space - perfect for such a gorgeous old heritage building.  Scroll down to see photos, the creatives and the donors!

The first 3 photos were taken by Ewen Kahr Yu...

SBN's Natalia Bogle took these snaps...

THE CREATIVES

The team who pulled this exciting project together are a mixed bunch of creatives, including product designers, fashion designers and artists. While their academic and professional backgrounds vary greatly, they share a passion for sustainability ethos and aesthetic. All enjoyed the challenge that this project presented and the opportunity it provided to make something attractive and functional out of materials destined for waste; creatively closing the loop.  We think these people rock.

Bhavesh Bhuthadia

Masterminding much of the concept behind this new office fitout and leading the team, Bhavesh is a product designer and creativity facilitator. Bhavesh was also a key member of the creative team involved in the fitout for the inaugural Sustainable City Showcase in Shed 10, last year.

Noel Asre

Noel works in Solar Sales at Alphatron Pacific. Noel's background is in design/marketing, and he's really interested in clean technology and the so-called energy crisis, which of course leads into sustainable business and practices.

Joseph Jujnovich

Joseph has passion for architecture and spatial design with a background in 3D animation, digital installations, film and sound design. He currently writes songs and does modelling.

Robert Hulse

Robert is a man who "knows how to get things." While he hopes that these offices will be an inspiration for others, the project also allows him to indulge his passion for fossicking.

Sean Taylor

Sean is a youth worker and general dogsbody who is interested in everything. He's kind of a general ideas person/reflector who enjoys the big picture of things and finding bits of inspiration to work from - he's also willing to do manual labour.

Ewen Kahr Yu

Ewen works as a Market Research Analyst and also does community buildings. Ewen enjoys photography, sustainable methodology and practices, and loves seeing NZ go global.

Jane Mow
A menswear designer & stylist, Jane is always on the hunt for creative ventures. Aesthetically she is drawn to minimalism and isn't afraid of a challenge. She also has a keen eye for detail.
