Get Sustainable Challenge 2013

The Get Sustainable Challenge (GSC) is a sustainability improvement and benchmarking tool developed by the Sustainable Business Network in collaboration with various members. It was first launched in 2002 and is updated every year to ensure it remains at the forefront of sustainable development. Since its launch hundreds of businesses have undergone the Challenge and it has developed a strong reputation within NZ. Over the last few years the GSC has moved to an online platform and has become the largest business sustainability benchmarking tool in NZ.

The GSC takes a sustainability lens across the whole organisation outlining where you are doing well and where there is room for improvement. It covers the following 11 key areas: Commitment, Vision, Integration, Staff, Resources, Business Systems, Products, Services, Relationships and Influence, Communication and Key Performance Indicators.

Participants are then benchmarked against each other according to size of organisation and sector.
For more information please see GSC background and methodology.

The GSC is either delivered via a detailed interview process, followed up with a written report outlining the specific next steps your organisation should take to improve sustainability performance, or is part of a broader sustainability improvement programme offered by one of our partners.
