Air New Zealand.
At Air New Zealand we’re acutely aware our success is inextricably linked to the success of New Zealand. Similarly, a successful New Zealand needs a significant and thriving Air New Zealand.
For the past 76 years Air New Zealand has been part of the fabric of New Zealand society. To ensure we’re a strong, vibrant business for at least another 76 years we recognise that it’s critical we commit to a purpose that’s bigger than ourselves - that is to supercharge New Zealand’s success socially, environmentally and economically.
What or how does your business contribute to a more sustainable NZ?
In 2015 we developed a new Sustainability Framework which outlines how we will deliver on our aspiration, respond to sustainability challenges and achieve our goals.
The outputs of this framework are threefold. We want to see sustained economic growth, positive social impacts, and reduced environmental impact in New Zealand. These three pillars are supported by six key areas – Our People; Our Communities; Carbon; Biodiversity and Science; Tourism; and Trade and Enterprise.
For each of the pillars of our Sustainability Framework we have identified goals and priorities, so that we can work towards delivering on targets both now and in the future.
We know we can’t achieve all that is needed by ourselves. As we move forward we’ll work with our staff, our customers, our suppliers and other New Zealand businesses, all with the aim of helping to supercharge New Zealand’s success.
