What or how does your business contribute to a more sustainable NZ?
All our poultry is free range. At least 90 per cent of our packaging is biodegradable and we compost all of our biodegradable packaging and food scraps. So our waste is out of the landfill and turned it into quality compost for local gardens.
It makes so much sense to use local ingredients. It is fresher, less food miles and supports the local economy. We love getting our ingredients from local producers that are only an hours drive from us and knowing that local produce can be traced back to an individual farm. All our veggies are from Levin, our flour is milled in Seatoun and pork is from Wairarapa.
