What or how does your business contribute to a more sustainable NZ?

As managers of over 22,000 vehicles in NZ, we are in a unique position to influence sustainable fleet practices through our consultancy role with our clients to develop fleet policy.

In the early 2000's we launched GreenPlan, a system of reporting on an annual basis that takes account of the social and environmental indicators of a fleet. The environmental indicators include consumption, number of vehicles, type of fuel, quantity of fuel consumed, distance travelled, number of tyres fitted and how much fuel is consumed. From that we can work out the carbon output of the vehicles using published CO2 rates and also the conversion rates into trees to offset that carbon. Social indicators include safety of the driver, ANCAP safety rating, accident rates, and speed camera infringements etc.

GreenPlan is a global initiative aimed to encourage companies and drivers to act on the effects of Global warming. GreenPlan helps to educate customers on achieving consistent and long-term sustainable fleet practices. An easy-to-use fleet data management tool provides reliable readings and information on the condition of the fleet and its evolution towards a greener fleet.

Certifications & sustainability programmes

We are a support partner in the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) project on Electric Vehicles. We are also members of the Auckland Transport EV initiative.

Over recent years we’ve been involved with a number of our customers supporting moves toward a more sustainable fleet including different forms of propulsion such as hybrid, plug ins and EV's. More recently, we have implemented two of the largest EV fleets in New Zealand for our customers. This had led us to being the evolving experts managing EVs both locally and overseas.

We are pleased to be involved in supporting and providing information to the project and its members.
