This award, sponsored by Cadence Communications, will recognise an organisation communicating sustainability effectively to inspire change.
People want to know about the good businesses are doing. They want easily-accessible information to help them make purchasing choices and to change their behaviour. Sustainability is more than making sure you have your own house in order. It’s also about effectively communicating what you do, to the right people, through the right channels, to inspire people to act differently.
This award will be presented to an organisation that is communicating sustainability through effective use of communication channels and audiences with measurable results.
The finalists for the Communicating for Change Award are:
- BLAKE & New Zealand Geographic
- Chia Sisters
- Tauranga City Council
- The Rubbish Trip
- Tread Lightly Charitable Trust
- Splore Festival
- Tourism Industry Aotearoa
We asked Cadence Communications what inspired them to sponsor the NZI Sustainable Business Network Awards:
“Continuing to sponsor the NZI Sustainable Business Network Awards was an easy decision for Cadence Communications because we truly believe in sustainability and why it matters – for people, for businesses, for communities and for our planet.
“As public relations consultants we love putting our communication skills to great use by helping SBN winners to share their fantastic stories with New Zealanders through news media and other types of coverage.
“It’s truly inspiring to be working alongside companies who are leading such positive change.”
