Protecting and restoring Tīkapa Moana/the Hauraki Gulf

We're on a mission to restore waterways and connect communities across the Hauraki Gulf (Tīkapa Moana or Te Moana-nui-a-Toi) in order to support the regeneration of the mauri/vitality of the moana. We're working with groups across the region to restore native bush along the banks of surrounding waterways. These native plants and trees help to trap sediment and other pollutants before they reach our precious moana.
