Auckland University of Technology was established in 2000 and is now one of New Zealand’s leading universities having graduated 25,000 students with undergraduate and post graduate degrees and grown its total enrolments to more than 19,000 students.
AUT is New Zealand’s newest university; however our history in education is over 110 years old. AUT provides education and research under the following five faculties:
- Design and Creative Technologies
- Business and Law
- Culture and Society
- Health and Environmental Sciences
- Te Ara Poutama
AUT is a contemporary university, with a distinctive approach to teaching and learning, focused on providing student-centred, innovative and real world learning experiences. AUT researchers work in areas that lead to inventions, new products and services, improvements in people’s lives and society thinking and acting differently. Being a constructive part of the community is also part of being a top university. AUT is in the QS Rankings top 500 universities. Community links are formed and strengthened beyond our core teaching and research activities.
