Recognised for excellence in the Not for Profit category, SBN will join finalists across 11 categories at this year’s Awards.
“We are delighted to be a finalist in the Awards. It’s a ‘pat on the back’ for our team, our new strategy, and our exciting range of member-focused projects. Our focus on generating new market solutions through system innovation has enlivened new collaborations, business models and campaign potential within businesses, NGOs and councils,” says Rachel Brown, SBN CEO.
The robust entry and evaluation process enables finalists to reflect on how effectively their organisation achieves business excellence in key areas including leadership and planning, customer and market focus, provision of business support, evaluation, improvement and results.
Now into their ninth year, the AUT Business School Excellence in Business Support Awards are the only national performance awards for New Zealand business support organisations.
“For any business, the standard of support it gets behind the scenes from business support organisations has a great bearing on whether it succeeds or fails.
“By acknowledging excellence in business support we aim to highlight the important role of business support, celebrate excellence, and raise the standard of business support across the board,” says AUT University Dean of Business and Law, Professor Geoff Perry.
SBN is in good company: some of our members are also finalists in the awards, including Fuji Xerox, Bank of New Zealand and Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED).
Winners of the 11 category awards and the Supreme Award will be named at a gala dinner on 2 October.
