Patrick bought Computer Recycling in May 2018. It’s one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest e-waste companies. Patrick has since acquired several other companies. He’s partnered with nationwide organisations to maximise e-waste recycling.
Computer Recycling is now processing more than 1,600,000 kg of e-waste a year. That’s diverted four million kg of e-waste from landfill in the last 36 months, from more than 4,000 households and companies. The company has reconditioned and retailed 46,000 computers and tech items. This gives them a second life in Kiwi homes and businesses.
In 2020 Patrick secured $1.5 million in funding from the Te Putea Whakamaruru Para – Waste Minimisation Fund. This will assist with a $3.4 million investment in Computer Recycling’s Hard to Recycle (BTR) E-Waste Processing centre in Onehunga.
