Esther Whitehead

Esther is the co-founder of Sustainable Queenstown, a not for profit that takes care of the Lakes District area. Originally from the UK, Esther graduated in Ecology and worked as a researcher at the Institute of Freshwater Ecology. She also worked at Groundworks, a pioneer of environmental action in the city of Leicester and instrumental to the city being designated as the UK’s first Environment City. Esther has a passion to bring people together through community-led change.  She manages the Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand, and consults to schools and businesses to champion best practice in sustainability.  She facilitates opportunities for businesses, local government and the public to get involved and create partnerships through events, workshops, and collaboration cafes.
