Niki is a researcher, educator and sustainable advisor for Ahika Consulting. She focuses on building capacity and capability for incorporating sustainability into the heart of any business or community. Niki earned her PhD in 2012. A key focus of her thesis research was the obstacles and opportunities for educators and businesses to incorporate more sustainable practices into what they do/how they work. She is familiar with pertinent issues in New Zealand, specifically concerning climate change, energy, transport and food systems. She is a Trustee of her local community hall, has worked for several not-for-profit organisations, and previously sat on the Chalmers Community Board.
