Brian Cox is a proactive and enthusiastic leader of renewable energy solutions. He was a founding member of the Bioenergy Association of NZ in 2000 and has been Executive Officer since 2005.
The Association is a voluntary sector organisation, covering wood energy, biogas and liquid biofuels.
Through the Association Brian has created collaborative relationships that not only serve members but influence government agencies, facilitating the integration of bioenergy into a wide number of aspects of the economy.
A spokesperson for the renewables industry and Association, Brian comments on bioenergy matters, often being interviewed on radio, TV and in print media. He has also hosted conferences and workshops.
Brian also previously managed the Solar Industries Association (solar hot water) and undertook the restructuring of the Energy Management Association. He often assists other renewable energy organisations and his opinion is often sought over a wide area of energy related issues
Brian is a finalist in the Sustainability Champion category of the 2016 NZI Sustainable Business Network Awards
