ecoPortal is an online sustainability and environmental management system which allows organisations to effectively engage stakeholders and measure, manage and report their performance. ecoPortal was founded in 2009 in New Zealand with the vision of supporting organisations on their sustainability journey. The company has since become a global provider of sustainability software, supporting manufacturing, local government, university and corporate clients around the world from its office in Mt Eden, Auckland.
In April ecoPortal launched an upgrade to its online sustainability management software. The upgrades include enhancements in usability, improved multi-site permissions and functionality, and optimisation for smart phones and tablets.
ecoPortal Director Dr Manuel Seidel is delighted with the strides the company has made.
“We have a world class sustainability tool that is being used by global companies to manage progress towards their sustainability objectives. The launch of our Sustainability 3.0 product further enhances our position as a leading sustainability software solution.”
ecoPortal was recently awarded Callaghan Innovation funding to further support its growth in export sales in strategic markets.
ecoPortal has developed a network of third party ecoPortal Advisors in NZ, Australia, UK and Canada who are supporting clients in implementing the software across the globe.
“Our ecoPortal Advisors are experts in sustainability and have been trained to support clients to improve the effectiveness of their sustainability programmes,” says Manuel.
Local ecoPortal Advisors include representatives from Morphum Environmental, Catalyst, Opus International Consultants, Sync Environmental and Andrew.Stewart.
To celebrate the launch of Sustainability 3.0, ecoPortal is offering SBN members who sign up to ecoPortal before the end of May a 10% discount on their first year software license.
SBN members who are already using ecoPortal to develop and implement their sustainability strategy include Auckland Council and Unitec. Other ecoPortal clients are Fonterra Brands and Autex Industries.
SBN and ecoPortal have collaborated in the development of the NZ Activity Map to aggregate and share the progressive projects that are collectively contributing to making New Zealand a model sustainable nation. The NZ Activity Map is currently being piloted with a group of SBN members and will be officially launched in the coming months.
