Julia founded the Common Unity Project Aotearoa, a community-based urban development project. Everything she does is founded on a sustainable outlook for our environment and community.
Common Unity has grown from humble beginnings to now being an umbrella for many community enterprises, bringing together skills, employment, connection and resilience for local communities. Current projects include Recycled Rides, Sew Good Sewing Cooperative, ReMakery Homes, Kete Share Store, and Urban Kai Network.
The growth of Common Unity, in what it does and who is involved, is down to the vision of Julia. She has a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm, and an attitude that says anything is possible.
