The Manukau Beautification Trust supports, promotes and undertakes programmes, actions and initiatives to beautify Auckland. The core work of the Trust has been the management of graffiti as well as landscaping and an array of beautification projects
The Trust also runs various programmes and events designed to add pride and value to the community, such as: Eye on Nature, Town Centre Tidy-Ups, Graffiti Education Programmes and Boomer Business. These hands-on educational programmes are tailored for a wide range of people, from children to retirees, to maximise community impact.
Over the last year the Trust has removed 70,000 square metres of graffiti; educated over 1,900 students through the School Graffiti Education Programme, and removed more than 4,500 kg of rubbish.
Manukau Beautification Trust is a finalist in the 2015 NZI Sustainable Business Network Awards in the Community Impact category.
