The Circular Economy Model Office (CEMO) Guide is a free and easy-to-use publication from the Sustainable Business Network which shows how to design out waste in commercial builds and refurbishments.
Studio of Pacific Architecture (SPA) were the first in New Zealand to adopt the CEMO guide when refurbishing their office. Come along for an exclusive look at how SPA used the CEMO guidelines successfully and why they recommend it to their clients now. Also, hear from predominant organisations who take circular solutions in refurbishment to the next level!
You’ll hear from:
Jon Fraser and Laura Trama from Studio of Pacific Architecture
Jon and Laura will share their learnings on how they tackled the implementation of the CEMO guide. They’ll also share their business case and reveal the pitfalls and business opportunities.
Jarrod Langstone, Operations Director, of Inzide
Jarrod will present on how Interface Carpets are an integral part of the CEMO guide. He’ll also give an update on what New Zealand drivers have made Inzide and Interface a successful early adopter of the Circular Economy.
Katy Cotrell from Economate
Hear about the social enterprise facilitating the diversion of pre-consumer waste from construction projects to the community. Economate helps builders reduce landfill, enables schools to buy less raw material – among other amazing solutions!
This will be a good opportunity for local councils, design and construction industries to learn more about how to create zero waste streams and how tore-use resources.
There will be time for a shared discussion on solutions and ideas lead by learnings of the CEMO project implementation.
