Industry 4.0: The Wellington Opportunity – Session 2

Discover how digital technologies can improve sustainability in Wellington’s manufacturing sector.

Learn from NZ companies that have used digital technologies to improve sustainability, build traceability into their products and minimise waste.

This event, organised by the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) and Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency (WREDA), is the second in a series exploring the use of digital technologies in Wellington’s manufacturing sector.

We are undergoing a wave of change characterised by the introduction of digital technologies to improve efficiency, reduce product development time, help with product stewardship and most importantly connect to clients and consumers.

Wellington has strengths in both manufacturing and digital technologies and this series brings together leaders of both sectors to identify and act on opportunities. It is also an opportunity to network with peers in the manufacturing sector.

Speakers include:

  • James Griffin, leader of SBN’s Circular Economy Accelerator: how disruptive technologies like blockchain might enable a circular economy.
  • Robbie van Dam, Director and Co-Founder of Goodnature: how the use of technologies such as 3-D printing is enabling a low-waste methodology to meet variable customer needs.
  • Samantha Jones, CEO of Little Yellow Bird, an ethical uniform company, will be talking about their supply chain transparency platform, which uses NEM blockchain to authenticate products from origin through to point of sale.
  • Jos Kunnen, CEO of Times-7, will be describing how RAIN RFID is being used to support Industry 4.0 initiatives

To ensure the learning achieves impact in your business we welcome up to 3 attendees per company.

The event will be followed by networking and refreshments.
