Plastic Packaging Masterclass 2020

Plastic Packaging Circular Innovation Programme.

Join a cohort of businesses for SBN’s Plastic Packaging Masterclass 2020 to access the knowledge and connections to make better packaging decisions.

Plastic packaging continues to be under intense scrutiny. Many businesses are receiving increasing pressure from their customers that they want packaging that won’t just end up in landfill and some have adopted commitments to use 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging, in practice, by 2025.

Three broad strategies have been identified to address the issues associated with plastic packaging at source:

  • Eliminate all unnecessary packaging
  • Innovate to ensure packaging is reusable, recyclable or compostable in practice
  • Circulate to keep plastics in the economy and out of the environment.

This event will bring together plastic packaging producers, users, reprocessors, innovators and policy makers. We’ll have updates from industry experts and innovators on the progress being made and showcase examples of best practice in packaging.

We’ll analyse the changing plastic packaging landscape at home and abroad in the wake of Covid-19. Then we’ll work together, designing the next steps to transform the plastic packaging sector over the next five years.

Masterclass 2020 is brought to you by the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) and our partners New Zealand King Salmon and Foodstuffs NZ.

This is an invite only event with limited places available. If you are interested or know of someone that should attend please email [email protected]

Due to Covid-19 and its potential impact on events, please note that in the instance Covid-19 restrictions are being enforced at the time of this event, the masterclass will instead run online. We will communicate any change in format to registrants, with as much notice as possible.
