Sustainability in brewing: an evening at Lovebucket

SBN is excited to host an informative and tasty evening revolving around something many of us love – BEER!

Join us for an evening centred on beer – hops, brewing, bottling, and drinking – with speakers from NZ’s largest hops farm; an Auckland-based microbrewery; and one of the largest breweries in NZ.

  • Hop Revolution’s plant scientist Susan Wheeler – NZ’s hops rockstar – discusses sustainable challenges within New Zealand’s largest single-site hop garden
  • The awesome Hallertau brewery (founders of Lovebucket and hosts of this event) talk about navigating sustainability as a mid-sized brewery
  • Stalwarts and major players Lion Breweries’ sustainability manager Kat McDonald talk about their brewing concerns in an age of climate change and uncertainty of water supply.

A delicious drink is included with the ticket!

Thank you to Hallertau & Lovebucket for sponsoring this event, Hop Revolution for taking time to talk beer from the ground up, and Lion for showing us that size doesn’t matter, in sustainability.

*Please drink responsibly and if needed, make sure you organise yourself a ride home.
