Next month, Melbourne will play host to the Creative Innovation 2015 Asia Pacific conference (Ci2015). More than 40 disruptive thinkers, global leaders and innovators will deliver creative solutions to the complex issues businesses are facing today.

1) Dr Tim Flannery talks clean tech

Tim Flannery

Tim Flannery will be presenting on the latest innovations in clean technology in his talk Power to the people – Amazing, disruptive clean tech.

Tim is one of Australian’s environmental gems and the recipient of Australian of the Year in 2007. He is a scientist, environmental campaigner and prolific author, having published 32 books and more than 130 peer-reviewed papers.

He was appointed the Chief Climate Commissioner in 2011 and founded, and is now the chief councilor of, the Climate Council.

He is also involved in the sustainability advisory boards of big companies like Siemens and India’s Tata Power.

2) Adapt or die with the Hon Lindsay Tanner

Lindsay Tanner

Lindsay Tanner will be taking to the floor with his presentation Changing Shape – institutions for a digital age, explaining why companies need to embrace digital innovation and technology, or face being left behind.

The former Federal Minister for Finance and Deregulation is well respected within the business sector as one of Australia’s top economic thinkers. He held his portfolio during the Global Financial Crisis and was one of the Rudd Labour government’s ‘Gang of Four’ along with Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard and treasurer Wayne Swan.

He has a wide scope of sectoral knowledge across many areas including communications, finance, infrastructure, communications, health insurance and manufacturing, and a wealth of knowledge within industrial relations, having worked as a union leader for six years. He has also published six books and is fluent in Greek.

3) Scott Anthony shares tips from the trenches of innovation


Strategic transformation and disruptive innovation expert Scott Anthony (from Singapore) will share recent research and Innosight’s field work with both Fortune 500 giants as well as smaller organisations.

Scott Anthony is a Managing Partner of Innosight and author of “The Innovator’s Guide to Growth”, “The Little Black Book of Innovation” and “The First Mile: A Launch Manual for Getting Great Ideas into the Market”.

In addition to his keynote, Scott will deliver a master class on “How to solve the transformation equation” and take part in the Deep Conversation “From disruption to growth” with Dr Peter Diamandis (USA), Nolan Bushnell (USA), Jon Medved (Israel) and Rufus Black, and moderated by Jon Faine.
