Know a gluten-free baker? Or a farmers’ market chutney-maker? Got a strong network with the new food mover-shakers? Spread the word about Good Food Boost, a new food mentoring project from SBN, along with ATEED and Waterfront Auckland.
Like all small and medium-sized businesses, foodie start-ups often find it really difficult to get their products out to market. The SBN is getting to work on reinvigorating Aotearoa’s food system and finding innovative solutions to a host of food-related issues that include the environmental impact of food production, access to healthy food and reducing food waste.
So we’ve decided to do something about it. We’re really proud to announce the launch of the Good Food Boost mentoring programme.
What mentees get:
One month of weekly mentoring on product development (plus free commercial kitchen access), marketing and branding, and business advice from our amazing line up of mentors (just wait and see who we’ve got on board!);
To improve and test your product, access to Waterfront Auckland’s commercial kitchen at The Cloud; and
The chance to showcase your products in front of the industry’s best at our upcoming Good Food Forum on the 25th of May.
What mentees need:
You won’t get anywhere unless you have some idea of where you are heading – business plans are a must!
Ideally you’ll have started your good food business and the mentors can give you guidance and ideas on how to take it to the next level.
You’ll need to join the SBN to be selected – membership starts at just $350.
Sounds great, when is it happening?
Get your applications into us now – entries will close on April the 7th
Mentoring will take place throughout April and May.
In May, you can showcase your product at our Good Food Forum to a captive audience of experienced food businesses and make great connections to help you boost your good food business.
