Videos: Purposeful sustainability

9 February 2016

In these fascinating talks from the Project NZ: Telling Good Stories conference, Z Energy, Ricoh and Auckland Council cover being visionary, engaging stakeholders with that vision and telling the sustainability story with transparency.

Three leading speakers from Project NZ: Telling Good Stories show you the risks and rewards that come with moving from part of the problem to the heart of the solution.

Mike Pollock –  Managing Director, Ricoh: ‘360 Sustainability’

Mike has led Ricoh through an enormous pendulum swing as the company reinvented itself to put sustainability at its core. His talk looks at how embedding sustainability principles and communicating what you can do will strengthen your organisation’s relationship with stakeholders.

Gerri Ward –  Sustainability Manager, Z Energy: ‘Sustainability: The gift with purchase’

Gerri leads Z’s plethora of audacious sustainability goals. She talks about navigating the losses and celebrating the victories that come with moving from being part of the problem right into being at the heart of the solution. Transparency and authenticity are key.

John Mauro – Chief Sustainability Officer, Auckland Council: ‘Leading with a vision’

John is no stranger to leading a large organisation towards a vision. He’s made sustainability go mainstream in Auckland Council and beyond and together with his international expertise (policy director for a transport not-for-profit outside of Seattle, USA) John talks about leading your organisation to the top.
