About Docket
About 70% of your business’ sustainability impact comes from your supply chain. Whether you are a small-scale supplier or a corporate buying from others, Docket can help you cut carbon emissions, reduce waste, regenerate nature, keep workers healthy and safe, uphold workers’ rights and eliminate modern slavery.
Docket starts with a quick self-assessment to see how well your business is looking out for the environment and your team. Where you are doing well, Docket provides examples of how you can share those sustainability achievements with your customers and networks. In areas where improvement is needed, it provides links to helpful tools and resources.
And, of course, you can share Docket with your suppliers to make your business – and theirs – more sustainable.
Who's involved
Docket is a collaboration led by the Sustainable Business Network with MAS; Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment; Ministry for the Environment; Wellington City Council; Westpac NZ Government Innovation Fund and WorkSafe. This means you can have confidence that the Toolbox speaks to both business and government procurers' definitions of best practice.
The Toolbox project was kicked off through the Creative HQ, 2021 Govtech Programme where the above partners plus Amotai, Ākina and Isparx supported a three-month accelerator.
SBN was also privileged to have the power of its Sustainable Procurement Leaders Group behind this mahi. That group has since merged with the Sustainable Business Council’s
Community of Practitioners (Asset Management, Procurement & Property Group) to form Procurement Leaders Connect.
