Do your sustainability credentials measure up overseas?
This is an invitation for you and a colleague to join NZTE’s Business for Good programme. You’ll learn how to build a meaningful, impactful sustainability strategy for your business, using the internationally recognised B Corp framework.
Impact Day Programme: Tuesday 24 March
Join Simon Limmer, CEO of Indevin Group, as he explores the growing importance of sustainability for international trade. After that, the B Lab team will guide you through the new standards for B Corp Certification, examining the seven impact topics and what these changes mean for your business.
You’ll then attend a panel discussion with business leaders from Ōku, StarshipIt and Go Well. They’ll discuss their own sustainability journeys, what it takes to drive change from a culture, leadership, time and resource perspective, and how you can successfully embed sustainability in your organisation.
You’ll choose between two afternoon sessions to continue your learning after lunch.
You can send one representative from your business to each session.
Session #1: Visit Kiwi businesses Cleanery and Quadrent.
Cleanery and Quadrent are recognised leaders in sustainability. You’ll get unique insights and advice, hear how they’ve integrated sustainability into their businesses, and see sustainability impact in action.
At Cleanery you’ll be hosted by Co-Founders Ellie Brade and Mark Sorensen, while at Quadrent you’ll hear from Amit Jamnadas, who runs the company’s Green Lease programme, and former CFO Stefan Iggo, who led its B Corp certification in 2024.
Session #2: Join a practical, targeted B Lab workshop.
You’ll dive into the B Lab self-assessment tool, supported by experienced, specialist B Corp Consultants. They’ll work closely with you as you step through the tool, guiding you to define the right sustainability approach for your business.
Follow-up support
Following Impact Day, your business will receive six hours of consultant support to put what you’ve learnt into practice.
This includes a 90 minute 1:1 online session, where a B Consultant will find out more about your business and create a tailored action plan for your organisation.
Your consultants will be: Nick Morrison (Go Well Consulting), Sarah Holden (Oxygen Consulting) and Valeria Schiavello (Regeneras).

Why attend?
If you want to develop a sustainability strategy that resonates overseas (whether you’re aiming for B Corp Certification or not), or you’re a B Corp business looking to recertify under the new standards, this programme is for you. It’s also well-suited to previous Business for Good attendees who want to understand what’s changed in B Corp certification and global sustainability expectations.
You’ll hear from a range of Kiwi organisations who embody purpose-driven business, see sustainability impact in action, connect with a group of like-minded exporters, and leave with a fit-for-purpose action plan identifying quick wins and next steps for your business.
What does it cost?
Because Business for Good is subsidised by NZTE, it costs just $500 for two participants from your organisation: fantastic value and a worthwhile investment in the future of your business.
