Invest in nature regeneration
We are seeking investment for the following projects. Funds help support the costs of native plants, materials and labour. Your business can help!
Regenerating nature is vital if we are to tackle climate change and species extinction, as well as secure a positive future for all of us. Intact ecosystems are among the most powerful and effective ways to safely absorb greenhouse gas emissions. They are a fundamental source of health and well-being for our people.
The purpose of our Regenerating Nature programme is to connect and resource people to accelerate nature regeneration across Aotearoa New Zealand.
We’re focussed on scaling investment in nature regeneration. We connect businesses and philanthropic organisations to community, iwi/hapū groups, and farmers leading quality nature restoration work.
We will help identify projects that are a great fit for your business, provide you with excellent storytelling and regular impact reporting of nature regeneration outcomes.
Other key focus areas are nature based job creation and building our partners capability to regenerate nature.

We're restoring the nation's rivers, streams, lakes and wetlands with native plants and trees. Our vision is for a future in which Aotearoa’s waterways are restored as vital havens for wildlife. Where it is once again normal to swim in them and drink from them.
We're on a mission to improve the mauri, the life-giving essence of the Hauraki Gulf (Tīkapa Moana or Te Moana-nui-a-Toi).
Help restore the mauri of the land, the waters and the communities of the Puhinui catchment. We're creating and financing jobs for local rangatahi that contribute to a restoration vision led by mana whenua and the local community.

SBN is bringing together business leaders, innovators and government stakeholders into a Nature Regeneration Partnership. This public/private partnership is focused on developing effective formalised systems that enable business investment in nature, community and climate. The programme learns from, and informs, our partnerships with mana whenua and local communities.
All New Zealanders have a role they can play to help regenerate our natural systems. Restoring nature on farms and in urban areas has a multitude of benefits. It can improve the health of waterways, keep soil and pollutants out of streams, sequester carbon, improve health and well being, create jobs and bring communities together.
Thanks to all of the amazing photographers that are helping us share our work around regenerating nature in Aotearoa New Zealand. Special thanks to Matt Dowdle, Scott Sinton and others who have so brilliantly captured our mahi and shared their photos with us.
