What we do
We are Auckland's original food rescue charity, helping our friends and neighbours since 2011. We collect perishable meat, dairy, eggs, and produce destined for landfill and share it with people in need. We will also redistribute toiletries or non-perishable food.
Volunteers hand sort fresh kai to distribute via Fair Food’s B2B charity network. In 2022, we provided kai for nearly 1.8 million meals (a week’s supply of meals for 81,350 people) and reduced emissions by 1648 tonnes.
How we can help you to go circular
We can help you redistribute surplus fresh kai from our Hub in Avondale. We will provide you with a summary that shows how much food you have donated, the number of meals that represents and the amount of greenhouse gas emissions you have saved.
We also offer corporate team building volunteer opportunities for groups to help us sort food in the Hub. View our charity partners.: https://fairfood.org.nz/what-we-do/food-rescue/#food-recipients
