What we do
We work with some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest food businesses. We help them reduce food waste within their operations and more widely across their supply chain. We also help them contribute to creating a more efficient, resilient and sustainable food system. Current Kai Commitment signatories include Fonterra, Woolworths, Goodman Fielder, Nestle, Foodstuffs, Silverfern Farms, A S Wilcox and George Weston Foods. Our programme provides hands-on guidance on food waste reduction. It is based on the best-practice Target-Measure-Act framework, which is effective in helping businesses understand where food waste occurs within their operations and what they can do about it. We also help signatories of Kai Commitment to connect and collaborate on shared challenges.
How we can help you to go circular

- Collaborate and innovate on food waste problems across the supply chain • Access industry insights and international and domestic best practice information.
- Share sustainability best-practice strategies and tactics in a pre-competitive environment.
- Align with government priorities and be in a position to influence action before regulation on food waste is necessary.
- Explore opportunities to improve operational performance, profitability and new revenue opportunities from food waste.
