Ecotricity is an electricity retailer providing 100% carboNZero certified renewable electricity. They’re based in downtown Auckland.
Getting around the busy city centre quickly and easily is a priority for the Ecotricity team. So in 2016, they bought three e-bikes. They find the bikes great for visiting clients. They’re quick, and a lot cheaper than Ubers, taxis, public transport, or private vehicles. Plus, they avoid all parking hassles and costs.
Staff also use the e-bikes for commuting. In just four years, they’ve clocked up around 20,000km in low-carbon travel. The bikes can be charged anywhere, either in the office or at home.
