Join your SBN peers to take part in the climate game that everyone is talking about.
Climate change will require radical transformation of society, business, and government policy. We all have a role to play.
Join us for the globally acclaimed Climate Fresk - a 3-hour interactive game-based workshop played by over 2 million people across 162 countries, and trusted by employers like Tower, Egis, Nexans, Auckland Council, The Warehouse Group, Maritime New Zealand, and many more. Grounded in the science of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Climate Fresk makes 6,000 pages of complex climate science accessible, engaging, and actionable.
No prior climate knowledge needed.
Through a collaborative card game format, you will work together with peers in the Sustainable Business Network to map the cause-and-effect relationships driving our changing climate - building shared understanding, sparking honest conversation, and identifying concrete pathways for action within your workplace. The workshop follows a proven Head-Heart-Hands approach: building climate literacy, creating space for authentic emotional responses, and empowering teams to take meaningful action in their own context.
Why attend now?
Climate reporting requirements are tightening, and business leaders are expected to understand the science behind them. Why? Because you can’t lead on something you don’t understand. Sustainability, risk, HR, client relations, and ESG teams are being asked to drive climate action internally, often without a shared understanding or common language to work from.
Aotearoa’s business community is at an inflection point. Climate expectations from regulators, investors, supply chains, and communities are already shifting, and the gap between organisations that are building real capability and those that are playing catch-up is widening. Three hours with the right people, grounded in actual science, is a genuine starting point. You'll leave with more than knowledge, a shared language, a clearer sense of where to focus, and the confidence to start taking action that's right for your context.
We'll also leave time for open discussion where you and your organisation are on the journey, what's getting in the way, and what would make progress possible.
