This May, Every Bite is celebrating Food Appreciation Month – a time to celebrate kai and
do your bit to prevent food waste at home.
We all love our food and don’t like seeing it go to waste, but right now it is estimated
that 30-40% of all kai produced globally gets lost or wasted.
Every Bite is offering four-week programmes across the motu and online to help New
Zealanders make simple changes at home to waste less food. This week is your last
chance to sign up - so get on board!
Why Join Every Bite? By participating in the programme, you will:
- Learn simple, effective ways to reduce food waste at home.
- Save money – the average household in Aotearoa wastes over $1,300 worth of food every year!
- Connect with like-minded people and communities committed to making a positive impact.
- Receive a FREE Recipe Booklet packed with tasty ways to use commonly wasted foods, and practical waste prevention hacks you can try at home.
This week is your last chance to join an Every Bite Programme! You can find the full
list of regions here. Choose from in-person or online options available across New
Zealand.
Together, let’s do our bit to prevent food waste at home – Kia kotahi tātou ki te whakaiti
i te moumou kai i te kāinga.
