These Awards, run by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, celebrate best practice in accounting standards, transparency and consistency in reporting across the for-purpose sector.
Entries are judged on compliance with the XRB reporting requirements and communication effectiveness.
The Sustainability Award recognises how an organisation demonstrates “the effective management of economic, social and environmental resources to ensure a prosperous future for the entity and its stakeholders”.
Rachel Brown, CEO of SBN, says: “We're really honoured by this award, which we’d like to share with our whole network since an annual report is only as good as the people behind it.
“We have amazing talent in both Fiona and Theresa, who make the numbers tell a compelling story, as well as the hundreds of organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand whose work this report essentially reflects. This recognition reminds us why sharing our effort well is critical. It also reminds us why we do what we do. Ngā mihi to the CAANZ team for championing for-purpose organisations in this way.”
Congratulations to the other winners of the For Purpose Reporting Awards: Auckland War Memorial Museum, Bellyful New Zealand Trust, Citizens Advice Bureau Palmerston North and Kāpiti Youth Support. Read the full list of winners and commendations.
