Emerging Transformational Leadership Award

For the emerging leader whose vision is already changing what's possible.

The leaders Aotearoa New Zealand needs most may not be on anyone's radar yet. This award recognises a leader within the first 10 years of their career who is driving meaningful progress towards a sustainable, regenerative future. They may not yet have a long track record, but they demonstrate clarity of vision, courage to act and the ability to influence others beyond their immediate sphere.

This Award celebrates individuals bringing fresh thinking, initiative and a clear sense of purpose to the challenges ahead.

Entrants may self-nominate or be nominated by another person or organisation.

Who it's for:

Individuals aged 30 or under in any sector, business, community, government, iwi or not-for-profit, working towards environmental or social sustainability outcomes.

What the judges are looking for:

clarity of vision and the courage to pursue it early in a career
evidence of meaningful positive impact relative to experience and resources
ability to inspire and mobilise others - peers, organisations or communities
commitment to both environmental and social outcomes
potential for long-term, systemic change
