About the programme

Go Circular 2025 is the Sustainable Business Network's programme to make it easier for businesses to take action to transition Aotearoa New Zealand to a circular economy.

The programme has been designed to help businesses design out waste and pollution, keep materials in high value circulation in the economy and out of our environment and regenerate nature.

The Circular Economy Directory

We’ve created the first business-to-business Circular Economy Directory for Aotearoa New Zealand. Browse the directory

Launching in April 2022, the Directory will make it easy to find solutions and resources that can help businesses go circular and lower their emissions. It will cover everything from designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and helping regenerate nature.

Apply for a listing in the Directory if you offer a product or service that can help businesses meet or support at least one of those three core circular economy principles.

'State of the Nation' report

In September 2021 we released our Going Full Circle report. It reveals how Aotearoa New Zealand is tracking towards a circular economy. It includes six key action areas to help businesses make the necessary changes.

Who's involved

The programme was established by the Sustainable Business Network. The programme is a collaboration of organisations from the public and private sectors that believe in the transition to a low-carbon circular economy in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Initiated by the Sustainable Business Network, the partner group includes NZ Trade & Enterprise, Ministry for the Environment, Auckland Council | Auckland Unlimited, Waste Management and Amiomio Aotearoa (Waikato University).

The project is led by SBN. The funding partners provide oversight and strategic direction through a governance group.
