Sidd has volunteered with Generation Zero, the youth-led movement dedicated to reduce NZ’s carbon emissions, for the past four and a half years.
He has also been a key advisor to the Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) on climate change and its impact on public health in Auckland. He is the lead author of the Healthy Auckland Together report.
Sidd’s skills as both as an academic and public health advisor have involved him in making a significant contribution towards the development of the Zero Carbon Act. This has included launching the campaign, setting out the scenarios on what a carbon-free society will look like in 2050 and the pathways to achieve this goal.
Sidd has shown steadfast commitment to addressing climate change, sustainability and wellbeing through his contributions at ARPHS and at Generation Zero. He continues to develop and champion the changes needed for a more sustainable and healthier future.
