AccorHotels saw the opportunity to make a difference in the community, while also addressing their own human resources needs. Instead of just using their training and employment programme for the AccorHotels group alone, the company has been sharing its intellectual property with other industry partners. Together with the Ministry of Social Development and the Tourism Industry Association, it created a platform available for all hotels.

The Fast Track Partnership Programme, launched in 2009, is making an impact on a key social issue: the lack of training and education for disadvantaged people wanting to gain long-term employment in the hotel industry.

The Fast Track Partnership Programme has grown to be a nationwide programme with 10 successful pre-employment programmes, helping more than 850 people into employment.
