What we do
We collect, sort and distribute unwanted and outgrown children’s clothing from families, schools and organisations, as well as excess inventory from retailers. Through referrals from our community partners, we are able to pass quality essentials in the form of a ‘Gear Box’ clothing parcel to those that need them most. The not-so-great stuff is passed on to our community of repair, upcycling and recycling partners. Once entering our system, all clothing is reused or recycled – there is no waste.
How we can help you to go circular
We offer a solution to children’s clothing retailers with dormant or excess inventory. We make sure that clothing gets reused where it’s needed most and is not dumped in landfill or incinerated. We provide retailers with a simple way to make a positive social and environmental impact and have the ability to report on these metrics. No additional infrastructure or resources are needed. Businesses can also host a Ripple clothing collection in their offices. Employees can drop off unwanted and outgrown children’s clothing at a temporary collection station. The cost to process each box is covered by the host. It’s an easy way for your business to support both community and environmental good. Donating clothing is an easy way for all Kiwis to help families struggling with rising living costs while also taking action to reduce textile waste in Aotearoa New Zealand.
