What we do
By joining Foodprint, eateries (including cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, food trucks) are able to sell food that they are not otherwise likely to sell. This keeps the food from going to landfill or other waste streams and retains value in the food for the eateries. Eateries who partner with Foodprint see new customers, increased profits and less waste as a result of using the app. Your dashboard tracks how much carbon dioxide equivalent gas has been prevented with food sold via the platform.
Currently operating in Auckland, Wellington and soon Waikato, the app has over 45,000 customers.
How we can help you to go circular
Food waste accounts for up to 10% of global emissions and addressing it has been identified as one of the top actions we can take to fight the climate crisis. We recognise that even with the best of forecasting things don’t always go to plan, putting food at risk of being thrown out. Foodprint offers eateries another channel to sell food so it’s not discarded. This means that eateries are able to retain value in the food. Joining the community also shows that you’re committed to eliminating food waste from your business.
