In 2019 OfficeMax became an Impact Partner of All Heart NZ, a social enterprise that partners with corporates to redirect and repurpose their redundant and unwanted items. Their reduce partnerships help to develop the sustainable, ethical and social aspects of procurement and supply chain management.
All Heart NZ provides OfficeMax and its clients a framework to redirect and repurpose new and used items. This covers the full range of OfficeMax products. All Heart NZ also works with OfficeMax’s sustainability team to find circular solutions for items that are not easily reusable and other innovative solutions.
Benefits
The two organisations have worked on 55 initiatives together from Invercargill to Whangarei. They have included repurposing redundant end of life/end of line products, office furniture, kitchen items, flooring, storage items, medical equipment, hand sanitiser and much more. The initiatives have ranged in size from 2 items to 300,000. That’s an estimated 27,970 office items and 450 pallets weighing 106,160kg with a direct community impact value of $138,740 since the partnership commenced.
