Auckland Council is asking for feedback on its proposed Annual Budget for 2023/24. We believe it’s important for all Aucklanders to have their say, since there are profound implications in this year’s budget for our way of life. Big cuts are proposed for climate, public transport, culture and community that we believe will be harmful for our people, environment and communities.
We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Alan Good in January 2023. Alan was the Director of the Stone Paper Company (Rockstock) and a SBN member since 2011. He regularly attended SBN events over the past 12 years and was a familiar face to many in our network.
The Sustainable Business Network has been working directly on nature regeneration since 2014. We’ve helped to fund the planting of over 800,000 native plants and trees, working with partners all over the country. In recent years, we’ve funded nature based employment for over 190 people. This is rejuvenating waterways and landscapes and transforming people’s lives.
