All Heart NZ Charitable Trust helps corporates re-direct, re-purpose and reduce their waste while supporting community groups throughout Aotearoa and globally.
Since starting in 2016, the Trust has supported many non-profits, including schools, maraes, churches, charities, sports and social clubs, by redirecting unwanted corporate goods from landfill and instead using them for social good. The core purpose is to support communities in need and so far it has helped 145 community groups in 18 regions around New Zealand, in the Pacific Islands and Asia.
More than 1,440 tonnes of corporate waste have been saved from going to landfill and over $3.8 million has been raised or saved by the community groups receiving donated goods.
All Heart’s support of community groups is having a wide social impact. This includes the relief of poverty, practical and emotional support, alternative education, safe housing, employment creation and health and social care. The corporates who partner with All Heart NZ are challenged to develop a zero-waste focus: changing their business practices to support social, ethical and sustainable procurement and supply chain management.
