The Multi Agency Service Application (MASA) is an innovative app that uses technology to create a virtual hub within the social service sector.
It is a preventative, intervention and rehabilitation app that enables frontline staff to complete on the spot referral when a client is vulnerable and needs help.
This connectivity will contribute towards the Ministry of Social Development’s better public service outcomes. With over 5500 services listed on the Family Services directory, the app will enable users such as key workers, police and health staff to streamline a client’s service needs in relation to service provision, location, language, availability and client ratings.
The hub helps individuals to make positive life changes and connects them to quality social services while helping reduce demands on public sector services including police, courts and prisons.
MASA is a community driven project. It started with a blank canvas with input from offenders, victims, users and service providers. MASA will be incorporated into the United Nation standards under the Pacific Prevention of Domestic Violence Programme until 2021.
