Mevo is a Wellington-based electric vehicle hire company. It provides an alternative to private car ownership for urban New Zealand residents and businesses.
In the last twelve months, Mevo has established partnerships with Wellington City Council, Meridian Energy, Trade Me Insurance, Vulog Car Sharing Technologies, Z Energy, EECA and the Rarakau Rainforest Conservation Project.
By partnering with Mevo, Audi has been able to more than double its electric vehicle (EV) sales since last year. It is now committed to becoming 100% electric. Through shared marketing campaigns with Meridian, Mevo has been able to clearly articulate what the future of mobility looks like: local, powered by renewables, and climate positive. A partnership with Z Energy will give more than 3000 petrol customers a chance to experience one of Mevo’s EVs for the first time.
Mevo prides itself on being a regenerative company. It does this by offsetting 120% of its emissions. The carbon credits are sourced from the Rarakau Rainforest Conservation Project in Southland.
