The Now Crowd are excited to present our first Sprint for 2020 – Sustainable Transport!
From electric scooters to car shares to bicycles to a trusty pair of sneakers – we will be taking a deep dive into the transport options available, discussing the most sustainable and efficient ways to get around!
Transport plays a massive role in NZ’s emissions. In fact, 20% of our greenhouse gas emissions come from transport! Moving towards more sustainable, low-emission transport options is an easy win for the environment. It’s great for our well-being, too!
Join us on Wednesday 26 February in the Bay of Plenty to understand how you can fight climate change by reducing your transport emissions.
The evening will involve a panel discussion with experts in the transport sector who will set the scene before we send our Now Crowd members their Sustainable Transport Sprint resource guide (also known as the Playbook).
• Yvonne Rooney – Workplace Travel Coordinator, Tauranga City Council
• Glen Crowther – Bay of Plenty Regional Manager, Sustainable Business Network
• Daniel Wallace – Owner, Electrify NZ
For the next 10 weeks The Now Crowd will be focusing on how we get from A to B at an individual and an organisational level.
As our first event for 2020, we also encourage any Now Crowd newbies to come along and learn what The Now Crowd is all about and why you should get involved!
Drinks and nibbles provided – see you then!
Powered by the Sustainable Business Network, The Now Crowd is a group of highly motivated like-minded young people, working on issues that matter to them. It enables people in the early stages of their careers to drive sustainability initiatives within their organisation and beyond.
