Felila set up a template to salvage as much construction material as possible from every project. She connects to everyone from labourers, for whom English is a second language, to local community groups, CEOs, managers, MPs and more. She has broadened the company’s reach and enabled it to diversify. For example, TROW Group is now the first Pacific head contractor for Kāinga Ora, with a seat on its panel.
Her work has helped save even more construction and demolition waste entering Aotearoa New Zealand’s landfills. This also reduces the need for new materials and provides materials for communities and SMEs. She is the driving force behind TROW’s most successful deconstruction projects.
